Calculator Development
A Transit Corridor Livability Calculator has been developed based on the findings and coefficients developed by CFA Principals Appleyard and Ferrell. The Calculator offers a tool for practitioners and stakeholders to assess corridor needs and strengths. The assessment is linked to strategies for optimizing transit corridor livability.
Across three Livability Principles (and using both “people” and “place” factors), a sample corridor’s performance is shown by a black diamond. Colored lines above and below show the average performance for each corridor type (with Emerging in red, Transitioning in yellow, and Integrated in green).
